We had to clear the trees away to get to the memorial. It was completely hidden. The tower is at the back of an industrial estate.
Fascinating.... My father was stationed at Shipdam as part of the 44th Bombardment group throughout the war. He was a radio operator and was located in the control tower. He had many, many stories of the war. Fascinating to see it now in its present state. Thank you. Chuck Wisman
